Improving!

My 20-year-old chihuahua/dachshund mix, Minnie has been declining from kidney disease. She gets subcutaneous fluids treatments 2 x per week plus appetite stimulation every day and eats special kidney diet food. I have to smear some baby food chicken on top to get her to eat. She has lost all hearing and temporarily lost vision in one eye. It was getting hard for her to go upstairs to my room. She was sleeping most of the day and showing loss of personality. It was heart breaking to see.

I started her on just 1 drop per day because she is pretty sensitive to changes in diet. She started showing improvements after just a few days! More energy and brighter expression, sleeping fewer hours, easier going up and down stairs. She is now at 3 drops per day (goal is 4 per day as she weighs just under 8 pounds). She gets excited and prances around when i come home, almost doing zoomies! Don't tell my roommate but she has even started occasionally chasing her two cats again. Just playing, she stops after a few feet, but roommate thinks they get scared and wishes she wouldn't do that. I can't easily stop her because she can't hear me and if she's not looking at me she can't see me gesturing for "no", and I'm secretly happy to see her getting some playfulness back!

I was really expecting to be disappointed. But I am amazed and so happy! I'm waiting for the vet to comment on her improvement. It may take a while since the vet techs administer t h e fluid treatments, and, besides, she's not happy to be there so she won't show a lot of energy there. She is showing more energy when they bring her back out to me, though. So I know they will notice it eventually!

Not taking a chance with my furbaby

I wanted to like this product but both times I gave this to my 17 year old cat she was like an absolute zombie. Not responding even to being stroked, just staring at nothing, and other things thst were strange behaviours for her.

I bought it on recommendation I hadn't looked at the lower starred reviews so I did, and I was shocked to read about some cats going into renal failure soon after taking it or even dying. Possibly a coincidence if it weren't so many reviews like this.

I gave it to my cat twice and now it's in the bin. Not taking any chances.

Directions for Use:

Administer product twice daily. Can be given during or after mealtime.

10 lb and under: 0.25 ml, twice daily
11 - 20 lb: 0.5 ml, twice daily
21 - 40 lb: 1.0 ml, twice daily
41 - 60 lb: 1.5 ml, twice daily
61 - 80 lb: 2.0 ml, twice daily
81 - 100 lb: 2.5 ml, twice daily
Over 100 lb: 3.0 ml, twice daily

If no change after 2 weeks, you may double the daily amount. Shake well. Does not require refrigeration.

Cautions

If animal's condition worsens or does not improve, stop product administration and consult your veterinarian.
Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven.
Administer during or after the animal has eaten to reduce incidence of gastrointestinal upset.
An examination from a veterinarian is recommended prior to using this product.
Do not use with blood-thinners.
